Giving back to the community is a great idea in theory but sometimes we busy folk feel like we barely have time to fit in life’s bare essentials. I for one, deem it miraculous when I find time to brush my pearly whites after breakfast. I’m so easily consumed by work, family and social responsibilities.
Fortunately, eco-volunteerism got way more manageable thanks to yours truly (Planet Green *wink) and Green Apple Festival. Just yesterday, we launched Volunteer Central—an online portal to find your eco-project of choice, super close to home.
You simply select your nearest participating city and then browse the excellent array of volunteer listings. Find everything from urban gardening to recycling initiatives to beach clean-ups and more!
But act fast. The deadline to find your dreamy green gig is April 16.
