The mission of the United Nations Environment Programme is to "provide leadership and encourage partnership in caring for the environment by inspiring, informing, and enabling nations and peoples to improve their quality of life without compromising that of future generations." Rwanda, though one of the smaller central African countries, is home to the continent's densest population of people who mostly make their livelihood off of the land. A land facing a host of environmental issues such as deforestation, desertification, poaching and water-borne disease--just to name a few. Luckily, there are change makers like Roy Brooke who won't let such overwhelming problems hinder his passion and enthusiasm to help save the environment.
