New TV Ads Get Behind US Energy Reform

Finally, the energy reform bill, which is currently being debated in the Senate, is getting its due--a TV ad campaign. As you're probably well aware, there's been quite a public campaign waged by the opponents of energy reform--namely, the fossil fuel industry--to discredit (often falsely) the Democrat-sponsored, bipartisan-supported climate bill. Some positive media should help balance the scales a little, and get the message of why we need energy reform out to more citizens.

The ads, which I've posted below, are pretty standard political TV spot fare Which isn't a bad thing at all; they're positive and credible, and they help spread a necessary message.

The first, from a group called Vote Vets, features US military vets explaining why energy independence is so important:

And this video, from the League of Conservation Voters, highlights the very real link between opposition to energy reform and big oil and coal interests. Help this ad reach the national market at the LCV website.
