Are you ready? Is it time? Those are the kind of questions that those looking to head towards greener pastures ask themselves. You're ready to find a job that fits your passion as a green entrepreneur. Tired of just going through the motions and ready to finally take the plunge. Ask yourself a few more questions before you make the move:

Do Some Preparation:

  • If you're going to quit your job and become a green entrepreneur, you should have at least three months of living expenses saved in the bank.

  • Make sure that you're set with healthcare. If you're going to go out on your own, you need to calculate that as a part of your budget.

  • Pay off all other debt before you quit your job. You don't want any other debt hanging over your head when you're trying to get a business started.

  • Write a business plan and outline all of your expenses and how much money you'll need to make in order to keep your head above water.

  • Do tons of market research and see if your idea has been done before. What was the outcome?
