  1. Take Part in Twestivals
Twestivals are festivals that use Twitter as a platform for advertising, networking, and talking about the green issue highlighted for the twestival. One great example of an organization using a twestival successfully is charity:water. The group and its supporters on Twitter were able to get a new well dug in Africa.

  2. Use hashtags to stay in the know
Hashtags are a way to easily search certain topics in Twitter. Some great hashtags to follow are #greenstream for green news, #earthtweet for tips on living green, and #ecomonday for finding other great greenies to follow.

  3. Tweet to, and about, people who influence the movement
For example, your representatives in Congress. Some pretty big names participate on Twitter, so you might as well use the platform to get their attention.
