For those with a casual interest in the growing green world, Yahoo! Green is a great online destination. It features a plethora of practical green living tips, an environmental news wire, and consistently updated original content. Basically, if you're new to the word of green, there's no better place to get started than Yahoo! Green (other than Planet Green, of course. Us, biased? Never).

Yahoo's Green Living section is, as its intro copy accurately states, "all about saving money, energy, and the planet." It features useful info on topics like choosing a fuel efficient car, how to find a green job, and researching global warming basics on the web.

In fact, Yahoo! Green puts its Global Warming section front and center, and is, well, a great place to research global warming basics on the web.

Next up, visit the hands on Tools section for helpful apps that will allow you to determine your carbon footprint, find reuse groups, and make yourself a definitive plan to lower your ecological footprint.

And a slew of different, constantly updated blogs like the Conscious Consumer and Green Picks combine useful how-to knowledge with a best-of-the-web smorgasbord of green goings on to keep you up to date on everything eco. There are also handy feeds from the likes of Grist's Umbra Fisk and the green tech gurus at Eco Geek, all collected in one spot for easy perusal.

Whether you're looking for an easily accessible green news source, some great how to content, or myriad eco bloggers' takes on the green world, Yahoo! Green is well worth a visit.
