If you're looking for a great family event to celebrate Earth Day in the San Francisco area, check out Party for the Planet at the zoo.
This year's event will feature green-themed music, puppet performances, and information about how the zoo is committed to being green. There will be a scavenger hunt, a sneak preview of Disneynature's EARTH movie, a birding tour, and even e-waste collection.
It's a fun way to spend Earth Day, especially since you'll be so close to the animals that inhabit the planet along side us, giving us a great reminder about what we're working to preserve.
