On Wa$ted, one life-long subscriber to convenience claims that "there is always one extra step when trying to be green."

Is this really true?

Here are just a few green activities which actually save at least one step when comparing them to their wasteful alternative:

  1. Leave your grass behind. Being allowed to leave grass on your lawn after you mow is one of the ultimate rewards in green being. In addition, leaving leaves in composting piles means no bagging them up.

  2. Using your own bags and containers. This eliminates entire bags of trash in your house, as well as the chore of hauling each one to your curb. You can throw your re-usable bags and containers in with your laundry and dishes.

  3. Walking or cycling to work. This skips a visit to the gym as well as looking for parking spaces.

And the list goes on and on.
