With purebred pets becoming more and more popular these days, we've got a growing problem: the reduced support of animal shelters. Funny how a surge in supposed animal lovers has lead to us to a place today where an unthinkable amount of dogs, cats, and other animals are put down each year. But a love for animals isn’t the only reason why you should be supporting your local animal shelter.

  • You save money.
Buying purebred pets can be expensive! Why would you waste all of that money when you can cheaply buy an animal that is otherwise waiting to die at a shelter?
  • You can combat overpopulation.
Animal shelters are grossly overpopulated. It requires lots of money and energy to keep pets in the shelters alive. For whatever reason, these pets have been disconnected with their owners…but they shouldn’t have to die for it!
  • You can stand against cruel animal breeders.
Many animal breeders, particularly dog breeders, have been outed lately. They keep their animals in very poor living conditions and force certain animals to spend most of their lives pregnant. You can stand against this by finding a new addition to your life at the shelter instead.

Support the animal shelters! They help our communities and watch over these pets until someone adopts them. You never know, you might find the perfect pet for you at the local shelter if you just look.
