No matter how green of a musician you are, you're going to have to replace your guitar picks periodically. Provided that you actually play your guitar, your picks get worn down. Although it seemed like a silly idea at first, I recently tried my hand at making some guitar picks from cardboard. To my surprise, these little guys have become some of my favorite picks.
How to make guitar picks from cardboard:
- The biggest reason I love this project is because we all have access to cardboard. Instead of sending your cardboard to the dump or recycling plant, take some aside for this project.
- Trace a plastic guitar pick onto cardboard and cut out the shapes. If you don't have a guitar pick around to trace, no worries! It's not that difficult to wing it. An oddly-shaped guitar pick will still work. Coat the picks with a layer of eco-friendly glue to harden the edges and enjoy!

This project is a great way to turn your trash into something useful. The great thing about these picks: They're hard but with the ability to bend. If you play hard enough, they will give. I recommend these picks for all thin and medium pick users.
