Dating is a big part of life. Find our how to get to know a new companion the green way with How to Go Green: Dating.

Valentine's Day, being the day of 'love', shouldn't be a hassle. Getting your hair to shine tomorrow night, by the way, might be as simple as adding some vodka to your shampooing routine. If you're fighting with yourself over what to wear on your Valentine's Day date, putting something gorgeous together doesn't have to.

Listen, guys: I'd like to apologize on behalf of all women right now.The results of this study showed that women are more attracted to men with large pupils four days before day thirteen of their menstrual cycle.

Women are easy to buy Valentine's gifts for. Give us some chocolates and a meaningful card on top of a nice dinner or spa treatment and we're set. I hate to clump us all together so stereotypically, but it's true. For women, Valentine's Day is usually all about sensuality. Finding a gift for a man, however, is a bit more complicated from my experience. I've had a few different boyfriends on Valentine's Days past, and the quest to secure the perfect gift while still being eco-minded has always been a tough one.

For some of us, Valentine's Day is a nice reason to show someone you love how much you care for them. It isn't about extravagant gifts or outlandish plans; there are no pink packages or candy hearts involved.

These sweets from green-conscious candy makers are bursting with organic cocoa beans, raw sugar, and all-natural flavor infusions.

Valentine's Day is right around the corner. And I'm not excited. Sure, I'm not thrilled about the holiday because I'm single (and if you're single, I'm sure you feel equally as singled out by this holiday), but more importantly: what a wasteful holiday this is! Essentially birthed (as we know it) from greeting card companies, this holiday rides on waste. We're made to believe we have to exchange cards, candies, balloons, and lots of other treats in order to celebrate it.

Valentine's Day is often an overblown holiday that gets a pretty bad wrap. It's enough over-commercialization and cheese to make you wanna skip it entirely. But for those lonely hearts or even those that say no to just the two of us, get set for the Heartbreak Edition of a Green Frugal Feast. We'll pick the best and the brightest in cheapy green recipes so that you can have your green hued cake and eat it too.

Whether you're single and playing the field or settled down with that special someone, most of us consider good, green, sexy sex an important part of this complete breakfast. Here's how to green your sex life.

Around the world, a tremendous amount of attention goes into wine tasting: there's the color, the feel, the bouquet, the aroma, the finish—and let's not forget the actual taste! But there are also two more factors to consider, whether you're a wine sommelier, a sometimes connoisseur, or just on the search for a delicious glass to pare with a meal: What is the impact of the vineyard on its surroundings, and are pesticides and chemicals used in production?

I originally thought that gnudi would be something like gnocci, those delicious little Italian potato dumplings. You have to have a real touch to make gnocchi, or else they turn out rubbery and tough, which I can attest to from personal experience. Gnudi is actually more like the stuffing of ravioli, but without the pasta skin. They were quite simple to make and they had a wonderful light texture and flavour.

Champagne—there's nothing that says celebration better than this bubbly liquor. It's the signature drink for the New Year, the extra effort made for a romantic rendezvous, and the sign of a distinguished host: And pink champagne just makes the occasion even more special.

You're on a date with someone really cute. So in order to get the best best-case scenario and avoid the worst worst-case scenario, it only makes logical sense to act as if there were global warming even if you don't believe in it.

The day of love of quickly approaching, and row upon row of gaudy, sparkle-encrusted cards and boxes of cartoon characters professing friendship and love are littered around stores everywhere. I may sound cynical, but I actually love Valentine's Day—I've just come to loathe paying $6 for a card or $100 for flowers that would cost $50 any other day. Consumerism is rampant but I for one say no more! I am taking Valentine's Day into my own hands.

To celebrate this year’s Valentine’s Day, Etsy is teaming up with Citymeals-on-Wheels to deliver nutritious meals and handmade greeting cards to homebound elderly New Yorkers. Help contribute to the cause!
