No longer does "back to school" mean fighting crowds at overpriced stores to buy lots of junk made in sweatshops. Our greener world has taught us that less is more and spreading this lesson is what school is all about. To improve your grades, the best tutorial would be Planet Green's "How to Go Green: Back to School."
Top Tips for Greening Your Return to School
Fashion Statement: The best-dressed students aren't sporting brand new duds but rather, they're outfitted in last year's jacket, a hand-me-down pair of pants, and a cool shirt they picked up at a clothing swap. Anything new, of course, is made from hemp, bamboo, or organic cotton.
Go Old School to Reach School: Half of the students in America who live within one mile of their school, opt for an internal combustion engine instead of putting one foot in front of another. Walking or bicycling is the green choice, the healthy choice, and the hip choice.
Semester to Semester: What you do when going back to school can and should be maintained from September all the way to June. Whether it was a switch to bringing leftovers in a non-toxic, reusable lunch container or hopping on your bike instead of getting a ride, don't let the green vibe fade as the school year drags on.
