If you're a green-minded architecture aficionado, there's probably nowhere you'd rather be than the Greenbuild International Conference and Expo in Boston, November 19-21. Put on by the US Green Building Council, a non-profit comprised of over 15,000 (!) pro-green building organizations, the Expo is the largest sustainable building conference in the world.

The annual three day conference is one of the most anticipated events in the green world, and for good reason: this year, speakers will include Archbishop Tutu (Nobel Peace Laureate), E.O. Wilson (Research Professor emeritus and honorary Curator of entomology at the Museum of comparative Zoology at Harvard University), Steve Thomas (Renovation Nation), David Gottfried (founder of USGBC). In addition to the speeches, Greenbuild offers building industry showcases, unique networking opportunities, LEED workshops, and tours of actual green buildings.

The conference, which launched in 2002, is a logical extension of the USGBC—its primary goal is to expand the use of sustainable building practices. And its wide member base is a diverse green lot—everyone from real estate developers to architects to government agencies to engineers participates in Greenbuild. With such a widespread interest, it's no surprise that the event sells out every year. This year's Greenbuild will be no different.

If you'd like to get in on the eco-building action, you can still register for the Greenbuild Expo this year. For more general information, check out the Greenbuild Expo website.
