Greeting cards are a big waste. They're only good for one occasion and then they get thrown out. If they don't get thrown out, they contribute to clutter in the home—which isn't green. Junk mail is another big waste. So this Easter, why not craft an Easter card from your junk mail and some card stock from the trash? You'll save on the resources you would have used up in order to buy a brand new greeting card and you'll successfully reuse materials that would otherwise be garbage.
If you want to make your own Easter card this year from junk mail and card stock found in your trash, follow these steps:
Knit for Easter

Reuse, Repurpose Easter Decorations
Find your card stock. Pasta and cereal boxes are perfect.
Cut out a piece of the card stock you find. Determine how large you want the card to be. (Remember: the piece you cut out will be folded in half eventually).

Frame a junk mail envelope around the piece you cut out and cut around the card stock so that the card stock and junk mail paper are the same size.

Add glue to the printed side of the card stock.

Glue down the white paper from the junk mail envelope and fold the entire piece in half, just like a card.

Find some colored junk mail.

Cut an oval shape out of a solid piece of colored paper.

Glue the oval shape to the front of the card.

Cut out shapes from the junk mail envelope that will create a bunny head. A half oval and two long ovals work perfectly.

Glue these pieces to your colored oval so that they look like a bunny head.

Draw on a bunny face!
That's it! Add whatever kind of lettering or personal message you want once you're done. Creating a card like this from trash is a perfect way to wish those in your life a Happy Easter without costing your bank account or our environment anything.
