Have any bright ideas on how to solve the world's most pressing problems? Handy with multimedia? Of course you do, and of course you are.
Then perhaps it's worth your time to take a peek at the Citizens for Global Solutions' multimedia contest--they're offering $4000 in prizes for the top submissions. The contest, called 'Choose Your Global Solutions', asks designers to create a "short multimedia piece that can inspire, amuse and/or activate people who believe that a better world is possible."
The only catch is that the piece must be interactive--perhaps to better engage those that who come across the work--and they must follow these following guidelines (from CGS):
- The stories or games have options which can lead to different outcomes and
- The viewer/player gets to choose between those option
Shouldn't be any trouble for anyone with any multimedia experience--and if you don't happen to have any, you probably know someone who does.
Also, I have it from an inside source that CGS is especially looking for submissions that deal with climate change--surely one of the most pressing issues confronting the globe at the moment. So if you've got the solution to global warming just bouncing around in your head, and just haven't found the proper medium with which to tell the world about it--here's your chance.
For more details on the contest, head over to the Choose Your Global Solution Contest page.
