When Al Gore issued his challenge to America—to generate our own power by alternative energy sources by 2018—he wasn't kidding. And to help motivate change, he's founded the semi-mysterious non-profit organization We. I say semi-mysterious since despite the URL/slogan showing up on web and TV ads with some frequency, you have to log on to the site to find out what it's all about.
And what it's about, like so many things these days, is change. It's a worldwide movement designed to combat global warming with over 1.5 participants. You can be one too, with minimal effort on your behalf—or major effort if the issue compels you; it's up to you.
Just by logging onto the website and entering your email, making only a pledge to acknowledge and support the cause, you can help the number of concerned eco-aware citizens out there be heard. From there, you can decide to invite friends into the fold, learn about the nationwide movements, find out how to take action, and join other supporters in your community.
Take our word for it—it's a good green cause. For a little inspiration, check out this video clip of Al Gore's Repowering America speech.
