Thinking about changing up the color of your bathroom, but don't want to abandon your favorite shower curtain? Wipe your weeping eyes and read my five reuses for it. I promise your rubber ducky patterned prize won't have to land in a landfill.

  1. Make a car seat cover. If you and the pooch are taking an afternoon ride, your old shower curtain will keep you from worrying about an accidental poop. Lay the curtain over the seat before Fido jumps in and you'll never have to think about getting his hair or other messes out of your fabric.

  2. Save your bike from the rain. A rusty bike is no fun to ride, so prevent unwanted rusting by covering your precious wheels. Shower curtains make great tarps. The great news is you don't have to concern yourself with them getting wet since they were made with that possibility in mind.

  3. Create a kid's crafting area. Place an old shower curtain anywhere children finger paint, color, or use markers. The curtain will keep your floors from suffering at the hands of your young artists. If there are accidents on the shower curtain, just rinse and reuse.

  4. Make a cape. Don't worry about shopping for Halloween fashions this year. All you need is right in your bathroom. Take your old shower curtain and make a fabulously funky cape. Head to the craft store to find ornaments and accessories to bling out your design.

  5. Prep for a picnic. Don't let a slightly rainy day spoil your picnic plans. Snap up that old shower curtain and head to the park. Have your veggie burgers with no worries about the bottom of your basket getting wet. Your trusty shower curtain puts old blankets out of business when it comes to picnic gear.
