Could you imagine a world without fish? The documentary A Sea Change asks you to imagine just that.
Directed by Barbara Ettinger, and co-produced by Ettinger and Sven Huseby, A Sea Change explores current research on ocean acidification and the importance of wide-spread awareness on the topic.
The story follows co-producer Sven, who is also a retired educator and concerned grandfather, as he sets out to learn more about ocean acidification and how to garner public attention to this important cause.
To start, Sven travels to ancestral sites in Norway and Alaska. Here he takes a look at ocean acidification research that is already underway. As he learns more about the issue, it becomes clear that dramatic changes in the ocean's chemistry could pose a serious threat to fish and human survival.
In this compelling documentary, Sven's adventurous and surprising journey takes an honest look at a reality humans must face to save the oceans for future generations.
