Two engineers are on a mission to Fix the World. Every episode of Planet Mechanics takes Dick Strawbridge and Jem Stansfield on a new adventure as they seek new ways to engineer solutions to heal the planet's most pressing environmental problems.

Follow Dick and Jem throughout the season as they come up with creative solutions for seemingly hard-to-fix problems. First, they go to Bath, England to help a local sandwich shop owner develop an eco-friendly delivery vehicle agile enough to handle the hills and cobblestones of the town. Their solution? An air-propelled motorbike.

Then, follow the duo to a farm in Devon to engineer a massive diesel-run grain-drying machine so that it runs on cow manure. They'll also build, with the help of the farmer and his sons, a biogas plant to harness the methane gas naturally produced by dung. Dealing with the amount of gas that they do is not a safe or simple task--check out the show to find out how it turns out!

Next up, transforming England's most remote youth hostel to become completely energy self-sufficient is not an easy endeavor when the only reliable energy source is miles away. Then, onto southern Spain, where Dick and Jem will attempt to convert a traditional Spanish ranch into a solar- and wind-powered eco-farm.

Catch the whole season and witness Planet Mechanics team fighting water pollution in Venice, Italy with a solar-powered water taxi, constructing a wave energy converter in Ireland to harness the ocean's energy, converting shipping containers in Liverpool into the sustainable and totally affordable homes of the future, and finally, watch them drive a wood-powered pick-up truck through London, and then turn a vehicle into the ultimate recycling machine.
