About the Show

Mean Green Machines is a turbocharged thrill ride jam-packed with the latest, fastest, and greenest vehicles, bikes, and even aircrafts. These machines are hot off the prototype assembly line and fresh from the most inventive eco-friendly minds in the world.

In ten half-hour episodes, environmentally friendly machines are pitted against their fuel-injected twins. While the green machines may appear identical to the gas-powered machines on the exterior, one look under the hood reveals that they are always worlds apart, and the test results can be shocking.

Beyond the adrenaline rush of the fast-paced, nail-biting challenges, Mean Green Machines offers the first glimpses into the next generation of green machines, like a silent motorcycle or an emissions-free ATV. While many of the automotive geniuses featured on Mean Green Machines are still working on the best design for their engines or are improvising on ways to improve long term performance, the quality and competitiveness of their Mean Green Machines proves that the future is bearing down on us at incredible speeds.

The machines battle for first place by competing in four performance challenges: endurance, speed, power, and agility. Whether an engineering professor challenges his electric drag bike to a race with one of the world's fastest gas motorcycle drag racers, or a gas-guzzling SUV seizes the opportunity to speed alongside a SUV fueled by Bio diesel, the outcome is often a surprise. Sometimes our competitors can seem a little too smuguntil competition begins and everyone gets blown away.
