Sunday May 4th, 2008 is a big day for the citizens of Greensburg, KS. It marks the one-year point from when their town was obliterated by a tornado measuring EF5 on the Enhanced Fujita scale.

President George W. Bush visited the town in the wake of the disaster, and he makes another visit on the anniversary to deliver the high school commencement address.

To remember the one-year anniversary of the tragedy, Discovery airs "Blown Away: Greensburg, Kansas". This hour-long program describes how on May 4, 2007, a tornado ripped through Greensburg and annihilated nearly every tree, house and business in the entire town. Host Josh Bernstein meets with Storm Scientist Josh Wurman, who studies tornadoes, to get more insight into the catastrophe.

The show will airs May 3rd at 8 p.m. and encores on May 4th, 12:00 am on the Discovery Channel. Tune in to Planet Green in June to watch more about Greensburg, and the town's incredible efforts to rebuild green.
