Meet SuChin Pak

Mon May 05 14:30:00 EDT 2008

She's co-hosted the Video Music Awards, the Movie Awards, and has been on the Red Carpet for the Oscars and the Golden Globes, but SuChin Pak never planned on a career in television. During high school while volunteering for a San Francisco nonprofit, a television station approached her to host a teen show covering everything from entertainment to topical issues such as teen pregnancy and drug abuse. This "after-school job" became Pak's introduction to the entertainment world.

Most recently, SuChin reported for MTV's Choose or Lose campaign, traveling the country covering the presidential election and youth voting issues. Pak also traveled to Thailand for the MTV News Special: After the Tsunami and co-hosted a special edition of TRL dedicated to raising donations for the victims of the tragedy.

Besides co-hosting G Word, SuChin's favorite project this past year has been hosting and producing the documentary series, "My Life Translated". A series for MTV, the documentaries deal with the lives of young people growing up in America with parents from different countries and cultures.
