
Focus Earth is a weekly eco-newscast for Planet Green, Discovery Communications' 24/7 eco-lifestyle network. Each week, Woodruff covers a variety of subjects ranging from climate impact, environmental policy, political debate and world events.

On Saturday, July 12 at 6PM ET, Bob Woodruff of ABC News returns to the anchor desk for a new weekly eco-newscast, Focus Earth with Bob Woodruff, on Planet Green. Each week on Focus Earth, Woodruff covers the environmental news of the week, looking at subjects ranging from climate impact, environmental policy, political debate and world events, as well as how climate change affects religious and cultural views and issues.

Bob Woodruff joined ABC News in 1996 and has covered major stories throughout the country and around the world for the network. He was named co-anchor of ABC's World News Tonight in December 2005. On January 29, 2006, while reporting on U.S. and Iraqi security forces, Mr. Woodruff was seriously injured by a roadside bomb that struck his vehicle near Taji, Iraq.

Vinnie Malhotra is executive producer of ABC News' Weekend News Content, as well as the executive producer of Focus Earth with Bob Woodruff. At ABC News, he is responsible for the editorial content and production of the network's two weekend evening news broadcasts, World News Saturday and World News Sunday, and oversees the weekend editorial content and production of ABC News' digital platforms, including ABCNEWS.com and ABC News Now. He also serves as a senior producer of World News with Charles Gibson.
