After months of tough campaigning, Election Day is finally here. Tomorrow, people across America will line up at the polls and cast their vote. The news will be filled with the results of exit polls, opinions of swing voters, and maps and charts decorated in red and blue. Clearly, the answer to one question will be on everyone's mind.
With all of the excitement it is easy to forget about one important issue that receives little attention on Election Day: the cleanup. Think of all the buttons, signs, posters, fliers, shirts, hats, and other campaign materials floating around your neighborhood. These things do not magically disappear on November 5.
To help keep your vote green, try to reuse or recycle any campaign materials no longer needed. If you really want to lend a hand, try organizing a post-Election Day cleanup party in your community.
