The majestic Appalachian Mountain Ranges are a national landmark. In recent years, the region has come under threat by the coal industry, which has exploited its natural resources through mountain top removal. A spokesperson for the non-profit organization, the Waterkeeper Alliance, actress Gloria Reuben is spearheading the Dirty Lie Campaign, whose goal it is to make every citizen aware of the truth about the coal mining industry. To date, mountain top removal has caused the destruction of over four hundred mountains in the region. The debris of the mountains is dumped into waterways and valleys, further polluting the air and the environment of the surrounding communities. Reuben is not just committed to preserving a treasured landmark but to create a sustainable future that can be enjoyed by many generations to come.
