It's easy to use the same spices over and over and achieve good results, but the key to great food is knowing how to combine them. Shonta loves to eat all sorts of dishes, but the one common theme in her meals is using the same spices over and over again.

She needs to reduce her salt intake based on the advice of her doctor so I'm going to show her some simple ways to get the most flavor out of her food, all without picking up the salt shaker. And we won't be sacrificing: we'll dine on Ribs, Stir-Fry, Nicoise salad, Spicy Turkey and much more!

Emeril's Salt-Reducing Tips:
Add bold spices and tangy citrus zest to spice up your dishes. Your palate will thank you for the boost in flavor and your body will thank you for laying off the salt.

Making your own dressings and marinades is a great way to lower your salt intake. You can flavor them any way you like and store them for up to two weeks in your fridge!
