On Coastwatch, crews battle nefarious seafaring criminals, and one of the most common and deadly offenses is poaching. Many countries have laws in place to protect fish populations, but many of these laws are ignored and/or lack enforcement.

The maritime crews on Coastwatch face poachers, black market traders and smugglers -- here's a look at some of the fish most commonly traded on the black market.
