In the second webisode of Battleground Earth, Tommy Lee and Ludacris take their ecorages to the Ninth Ward of New Orleans, Louisiana. In one of the most severely affected neighborhoods in the city the teams witness firsthand the degree of damage that persists years after Hurricane Katrina.

Emotions run high as the crews visit row after row of abandoned houses, still boarded up, awaiting reconstruction. Ludacris points out spray-painted signs indicating the number of bodies found in each house while Diggity Dave comments that he "never imagined it to be like this," before adding that the obituary section of the newspaper "runs nine pages deep" because of people dying post-Katrina due to exposure to contaminants.

Meanwhile, looking out from a wrecked house, Tommy Lee expresses his astonishment at the levels of damage and the impact visiting the Ninth Ward has had on him. Nina Bergman explains that "when you see it on TV, you can't really get a feel for it."

This powerful webisode is best summarized by Ludacris who tells us that no words can explain how he feels about the sad state of the Ninth Ward and the tremendous loss its former residents have experienced. Indeed, nothing expresses the emotions that the teams feel better than the looks on their faces as they tour this lost neighborhood.

Stay tuned, more to come!
