Car Culture/Corbis

It's 9 AM and I'm woken up by the commotion around me ? Ludacris, Big Willie, 4-ize, and Sesean are all staring out the windows, confused as to where we are going.

Great ? I hope we are not lost.

I rolled out of bed to find that we were in the middle of the mountains. It's certainly a change from Atlanta. Yesterday we were learning about deforestation, and today we are surrounded by a forest. Leave it up to Battleground Earth to constantly be throwing us for a loop.

I guess we weren't lost after all, because about 15 minutes later we came to a stop, and it wasn't to ask for directions. Everyone piled out the busses to find out what was going on ? everyone except for Diggity Dave, who was feeling under the weather.

We were greeted by Ranger Matt, Angela, and the most expensive car we've ever seen - though you wouldn't know it by simply looking at it. The car was a GM Hydrogen Fuel Cell vehicle ? one of only a couple hundred prototypes, making it very rare and therefore very valuable. This car is pretty incredible ? it actually converts hydrogen into electricity.

That's pretty smart. What wasn't smart, however, was letting Tommy get his hands on the car. I'm pretty sure Luda won't be in the passenger seat with him again.

After getting to give the eco-friendly car a little test drive, Ranger Matt gave them their next challenge ? a race through the mountains using only environmentally-friendly vehicles.

Before we even got a chance to process exactly how demanding this next challenge was, Ranger Matt was leading us off to the ski lifts to be shuttled to the top of the mountain for the race. I've never seen Big Willie as terrified as he was today. He literally was refusing to get on the ski lift!! Even Nina couldn't help but make fun of him. It must have taken at least 15 minutes for us to convince him to get on the chair, and that's only after 4-ize promised to ride with him. If it was me, that wouldn?t have been the straw that broke the camel's back, but to each their own.

Once we reached the top of the mountain, the race was on. Ranger Matt challenged us not only physically, but also mentally with this one. Some of us were ready for it. And others, like 4-ize, literally bit the dust. They had a lot of physical challenges, including biking down the side of a mountain, hiking through the hills, and racing electric ATVs.

About half-way through the race, Diggity Dave started feeling better and decided to brave his way through the mountains to find everyone else. He inevitably got lost
