I've got a bite. I mean, a BITE. From a goliath tiger fish. Could you imagine uttering/screaming those words? Or more than that, reeling one of these in? Anyone got a net, made of chain mail?

Companies offer fishing trips that taken you to the extreme, to catch one of these monster fish, the Goliath Tiger, which swims in the waters of the Congo River. This is more than your typical fishing charter excursion.

I'm not sure how I feel about fishing for one of these. Maybe they're too fierce. Maybe I'm too much of a TreeHugger. But get this, and check out the possibilities.

Robert Glynn, from GoliathTigerFishing.com, passed on these photos.

According to a recent season-end newsletter, the biggest Goliath caught in 2011 was 40 kilograms-plus, or almost 90 pounds. Ninety. Taken in by this happy bearded fellow.

An expedition to the Congo to fish for one of these beasts, sleeping in a tent, will set you back about $1,000 U.S. a day for you and a friend (wife or husband?), boat and guide included.

I'm not sure I'd want to stand in any waters inhabited by these things, but to each his own.

This is a shot you make not expect, of a super happy guy sporting a pink fishing hat, and a big ol' goliath.
