Exercise is important. We all know that. But it is also important to exercise efficiently, not wasting unnecessary fuel or energy. In addition to this, I feel as though it is also important to take advantage of the warm season and exercise as much as you can outside. We all do so much to help out this planet, so why not bask in its beauty while we're at it? Tons of people spend their summers backpacking in Europe and exploring several countries outside of the U.S.A., but there are some absolutely breathtaking spots in the U.S. I know because I have seen them. I have traveled this country and compiled for you my personal top 5 list of the most gorgeous hiking spots the U.S. has to offer.

The Grand Canyon: Sure, we've all heard about The Grand Canyon, but generic as this may sound,we have all heard about it for a reason. On the edge of this canyon, you will stand in awe of nature--this I promise you. There are hiking trails all through the canyon and the ones down IN the canyon are especially great.

Yellowstone: If you haven't been to Yellowstone--GO! It's a picture perfect huge chunk of land, displaying for you many of nature's wonders at once. From waterfalls to caves to natural hot springs and bison and bears running wild, Yellowstone will impress you. There are endless hiking trails throughout the huge park; all of which have something great to offer.

Avenue of the Giants: Haven't seen the Redwood Trees of California? Get on it! You've probably seen the pictures, but trust me, nothing quite explains the spirit of these forests until you're in them yourself. There are lots of hiking trails that wind around these massive trees and something about the always-dark forests is simply magical. You have to see this.

Appalachian Trail: While it's a great feat to hike the entire Appalachian Trail, you don't have to put yourself that far out to see it for its beauty. The incredibly underrated (if you ask me) Appalachian Trail has got some of the most jaw-dropping scenic views in the U.S.

Everglades: Sometimes the state of Florida makes me angry--in a good way. This state just has so much to offer in so many ways--no wonder so many people choose to retire here! The Everglades in southern Florida are mystic, winding, and amazing. You'll be happy you went.

So get out this summer! See some of the magnificent spots on this planet we're all working so hard to protect together.
