READ MORE ABOUT:
Hawaii-based husband and wife Joseph Imhoff and Sara Tekula are gearing up to travel the country and plant native trees in every state. The project is called Plant A Wish—for every monetary contribution from individuals and companies to help to carry out the mission, Sarah and Joseph are accepting wishes that they will print and bury alongside the trees.
Plant A Wish, in Sara and Joseph's own words: "We embark on this adventure to get closer to our biggest wish: for future generations to enjoy an abundance of biodiversity, native plants and trees, fresh air, and clean water."
The couple already has a background in film production and will produce a documentary alongside the project, which is ultimately meant to raise awareness, restore native habitats and ecosystems around the U.S., and engage communities in promoting the health of the environment.
They just launched Plant A Wish to enthusiastic and healthy support from friends, and have already been chosen as a Kickstarter project. (You've seen Kickstarter here before—with one project that ended up exceeding its fundraising goal.) So help them out if you can—pay for a tree, get a wish.
And a healthier future.
