Thu Oct 16 11:00:00 GMT 2008

Animals | G Word Video | Honey | Nature | Video

Honey is a delicious natural sweetener. It is good in tea, with yogurt, and when used in baking, among other things. If it were for honey alone, we would have a lot to thank bees for. But bees are responsible for pollinating the majority of agricultural crops in the United States. Without them, it would be difficult to grow much of the food we eat, or even feed the animals that provide us with meat, eggs, and dairy products. Stinging aside, bees are our friends.

Unfortunately, bees are suffering from a mysterious disease that is decimating their population. Find out why we need to be concerned and what we can do to help in this online video from G Word.

And for more of the latest in green, don't miss G Word Episode: LA Without a Car.
