Florida has so much to offer. Even the beaches have a ton of diversity. The beaches on the Atlantic side are totally different from those found on the Gulf side. With fabulous weather year round in most parts of the state, a trip to Florida means spending a lot of time outdoors. Show your family all the stunning natural beauty that Florida has to offer just by stepping outside.

  • Everglades National Park is listed as one of the seven natural wonders of the world and it's right here in the United States. Check out all the natural wild life that the park has to offer by canoe or foot. You can camp inside the park in both the front country and the back country or stay at the Ivey House, a simplistic but quaint bed and breakfast. Make your visit super green by leaving no trace behind when it's time to go.

  • Check out Big Cypress National Reserve. Learn all about the animals in the park on a ranger led tour. With tours like What's out there? a ranger led tour where participants view alligators, turtles, fish, and wading birds, your kids can learn all about the importance of preserving these delicate eco-systems. You can also take Swamp Walks through the saturated wet lands and learn about the indigenous species as you wade through the swamp in high boots.

  • Canaveral National Seashore is one of the few remaining areas of beach in Florida that is not developed, but you need a boat to reach the island. Renting a boat could be worth it because once you get there; you're the only person for miles. Enjoy fun in the sun and camp out on your own little island paradise. Watch where you step because Canaveral National Seashore is an important nesting place for several species of endangered turtles.
