Of course, here at Planet Green, every day is Earth Day. But one of the advantages of setting aside a day is the chance to conjure up new and creative ways to raise awareness and spur action. For example: 19th Annual Climb for Wilderness and 8th Annual Run for Wilderness at Alberta's Calgary Tower.

The Climb and Run for Wilderness

Here's the official scoop: "Climb and Run for Wilderness is Alberta Wilderness Association's annual Earth Day celebration at the Calgary Tower. Participants collect sponsorship money to allow them the unique opportunity to climb the 802 stairs inside the Calgary Tower. You can climb as an individual or in a team of four, as many times as you wish. It is a great opportunity to get some exercise, learn about wilderness and wildlife conservation work in Alberta, win some outstanding prizes and have lots of fun."

Sponsor a Tower Climber

Those not in the Calgary area can do their part by sponsoring a climber, a runner, or a team.
