I don't know many people lucky enough to spend their Friday afternoons listening to NPR, so for anyone who missed it this week—and is interested in climate and energy issues—the latest episode of Science Friday is worth a listen. They covered tornadoes, weathercasters and climate change, and then spent a full hour on wind power.

There's been a lot of debate over wind energy in the last few years and it can be hard to keep up with it all. Science Friday recapped everything, from how the varying sizes of wind turbines affect birds to the role that the Not in My Backyard syndrome plays in obstructing efforts to scale up wind power. (And they raise the curious question of why offshore wind power is a problem when offshore drilling is not.)

If you have some time this weekend, check it out.
