Texting is everywhere these days. Even my parents are hip to texting and use it to message me when I'm not answering the phone. I'll be the first to profess my love for texting. It's incredibly convenient and easy. In fact, I'd bet you might just love it as much as I do. But did you ever stop to think that texting might also be good for the planet?
If you're eco-friendly then you should know that it is awesome for reasons outside of convenience. In fact, my number one reason of why texting is so great is the fact that it spares paper from being unnecessarily used.
There are a lot of day-to-day exchanges of information that prompt us to unnecessarily use paper. When you need to 'jot down' information, like listed below, try sending yourself a text instead of wasting the paper.
Everyday Ways to Save Paper by Texting Yourself
- Remembering phone numbers/dates
- Getting a recipe from a friend
- Saving directions
- Jotting down ideas for work
- Remembering addresses
- Saving a favorite line someone said
- Saving to-do notes
- Grocery lists
Start texting yourself instead of using paper when you're in the above situations and think of all of the trees you'll be saving!
