Who says just because you are green you can't give your vehicle bling? Yeah, it's true that a lot of that stuff is just useless junk that wastes the earths resources, pollutes our landfills with its packaging, and well, kind of looks pretty lame... but there are a few items worthy of your attention, such as:

GPS Unit
If your vehicle isn't already equipped, a GPS unit is all of hip, fashionable, fun, and useful. We all know that a GPS can offer you the shortest routes to take on your daily excursions, which can save you a lot of time, money, and spent emissions, but they can also be kind of fun?

Well, not everybody is going to enjoy a GPS, but they do have some fun models available today, case in point, the (K.I.T.T.) Knight Rider GPS. If you were a child or adult from the early eighties, you should undoubtedly remember David Hasselhoff and his formidable sidekick KITT, who was a roving, talking, and crime fighting 1982 Pontiac Trans am.

The company, Mio has now packaged KITT into a mean, green, direction giving machine. The GPS features the original voice of actor, William Daniel, of which you can personalize to speak your name, saying, "Hello _____, where do you want to go today?" Okay, so maybe this bit of bling isn't for everybody... but it sure beats a Pee Wee Herman bobble head doll on your dashboard.

Decorative Sun Shade
Maybe your not going to hinder global warming by using a sun shade in your vehicle, but you can regulate the temperatures a little better which will reduce the necessity for using the belt driven air conditioner and defroster as often. Don't forget that in the winter, the reflective nature of these shades can also help to hold heat in if you are not going to be gone too long.

They have a sunshade for just about any interest or taste. They have famous artworks, cartoon characters, landscape photos, eyeballs, quotes, etc... They can also be ordered for the side and rear windows if you want to get really serious about your vehicles insulating needs.

LED Tire Alert
Some folks spend thousands of dollars to add bling to their vehicles wheels. They install chrome and gold rims, spinners, neon lights... and just about anything else that shines, blinks, or sparkles. Well now you can join the crown for around $7 with a set of chrome plated LED tire alert valve caps.

They work by memorizing your tire pressure the moment you first put them on, and then blink as soon as the pressure drops below where it was set. This means that you will will be rolling with the dubbed out crowd every time one of your tires falls short of air!

Custom Metal or Ceramic Cup
Just like in your china cabinet, a cool cup or mug in your vehicle can add character, personality, and limit the amount of waste you produce by offering an alternative to the typical disposable drive-thru packaging.

They have some interesting mugs available for us eco-conscious coffee, hot chocolate, and tea drinkers. Two of my favorites I've seen are temperature sensitive mugs, one depicting a photo of an ice berg and the other of a current world map. As soon as hot liquid is poured into the mugs, the ice berg melts and dwindles into the ocean on the one mug, and we lose part of our continents due to an increase in ocean level on the other.

Now that's a heck of a reminder to turn down your heater before you leave for work, slow down your vehicle, and then take that plastic water bottle out of the trash you accidentally through in the non-recyclable pile. Sometimes doing little things CAN make a big difference folks, and the fact that it may give our vehicles a little bling in the process, is only the icing on the cake!
