(GET) Green Earth Technologies has finally released their long awaited brand of biodegradable 2-cycle motor oil at Home Depot...and yes, it is green in color, as well as function. GET has been in the news as of lately for their line of biodegradable oils for automobiles...but there is just one problem. You can't find the stuff anywhere.

While this maybe true for the automotive oils, Home Depot and Amazon.com are currently selling the 2-cycle oil versions, which means that all of us with small cc engine scooters and mopeds (typically 50cc to 200cc) can take advantage of this new innovative oil.

Traditionally, older two-stroke engines have been found to emit as much pollution as 50 modern automobiles using the modern four-stroke engines. If you own one of these classics, you may be getting great mpg, but clouding the path behind you more significantly than you realize. This is exactly where G-Oil can come in.

In case you haven't already heard about this new product, it is essential a liquefied version of cow fat that has been engineered to hold up under the high heat conditions of your vehicles engine. It is naturally biodegradable, non-toxic, and carbon neutral.

Glancing at the site and at the bottle you won't find too much about the process of manufacturing, as if they did, they would probably lose their entire vegetarian customer population. Yes, its main ingredient is from the waste product of cows. Not as glamorous as say, some derivative from the lowly dandelion, but it does do a great job of taking the place of petroleum.

G-Oil two cycle oil does not come cheap, but nor is it ridiculously expensive. A 16 ounce bottle goes for around $4.88 on Amazon. Considering that a typical 50 cc motor will run with about 16 ounces of oil, you aren't looking at a huge expense to make such an upgrade.

But from what GET claims, changing your oil with their cow derived motor oil could reduce your two-cycle motors pollution by as much as 50 percent in carbon monoxide, 80 percent in nitrous oxide, and 30 percent in hydrocarbons. Who says a cow can't save the world!

All you four wheel drivers are just going to have to wait. Us two wheelers are going to be the guinea pigs this time...but so far so good! Okay, so with this oil we aren't exactly saving the world, but maybe allowing it to breathe just a little bit easier.
