You can find any library book, anywhere and trade your old books for new ones, thanks to that handy Internet, but to cut paper out of the equation altogether, you can also download audio books and eBooks from a library near you, for free.
Just click on over to the Digital Media Locator to find out if your local library offers the service; in some cases, all libraries in a state are linked up, so you just need a library card from anywhere in the state to get in and get downloading.
If your library isn't a member of the program, don't fret; the Media Locator site has links to many libraries' audio and eBook inventories (they're categorized by state), so you can be reading and/or listening to digital versions of the books you desire with just a few clicks and without another trip out to the library.
