Zip Around on a DIY Plug-In, Hybrid Trike--No Joke

This set of wheels will definitely become an eco-conversation piece

With the risk of being mistaken for a Jetson, this 225 MPG Plug-In Hybrid Trike can get you to your destination of choice, as fast as 80 miles per hour using a combo of diesel-electric power.

The sweet sustainable cherry-on-top? It’s completely do-it-yourself. You can, with your own two hands, build the three-wheeled bad boy from the ground up—which is fun for you and ever greener since production energy costs get cut out of the equation.

Looking eco-friendly, fabulous and futuristic in the fast-lane doesn’t come for free, however.

The assembly plans ring up at $99, and the actual building costs come in around $7,500 to $25,000 depending how fancy you get.
