We are big on bikes, all year round; it is quick, easy, healthy and low on carbon. Planet Green was full of tips on how to use your bike for more than just a recreational fair-weather ride.

It really isn't that hard, will save you a lot of money and you will get very fit. But where do you start? Discover 10 easy ways to make commuting to work by bike a breeze.Biking after fall isn't as dire as that photograph shows, and the drive home is probably just as bad. Plus, winters aren't as harsh as they used to be, so why not try to bike all winter? Anna Shepard of The Times of London made a list that makes it easier and more comfortable.

Lots of people ride their bikes all year round; the picture here shows a parking area at a train station in Hyvinkaa, Finland, where it gets colder and darker earlier than anywhere in America. I thought from personal experience that a few suggestions were missing in our earlier post, so I've added them in a whole other post.

If you are not going to take our advice and use your bike outside all winter, at least put it to use by rigging it up to create a human-powered generator. Learn how to power your TV, cell phone, or laptop through pedaling.
