Keeping kids entertained when its cold, snowy and wet outside can be tough. Instill the drive to reuse junk, and encourage their crafty skills with this fast, fun project from DIYIdeas.com.

All you need is some scrap plywood of the right size, old yard sticks—which may be readily available from your child's school, or thrift shops—some coat hooks, and a few basic crafting supplies.

Make it an extra special activity with your kids by working to find all these objects, rather than buying them.

The finished project makes a really neat item for your child's room, and likely a source of pride for them.
