If you've got a tissue box sitting around your home that you're not using—now is the time to find a new life for it. (For the record, I'm talking about permanent tissue boxes—not the cardboard ones that come with your tissues). I had a nice wooden one that I didn't want to get rid of, but wasn't using anymore. With just a bit of thought, I figured I could easily turn this box into a candle holder for my wall. And, in fact, as I write this, the candles are glowing on the box—now hung next to my bed.
Making a candle holder for your wall from a tissue box is easy. You can do it in less than five minutes and spare an item from being wasted. *Note* If you like this project but don't have a tissue box around, try shopping at your local thrift store. Thrift stores are great resources for all things vintage and taking anything off of their hands and putting it to use is green.
How to make a candle holder for your wall from a tissue box:

Locate your tissue box. Empty it of all tissues. Make sure it is sturdy.

Flip your tissue box around and use push pins or nails to hang it on your wall through the opening.

Set however many candles you'd like on top of the box. If you know for a fact that your tissue box is not flammable, you can consider placing your candles inside of the box instead. Or both.

If you opt out of putting candles inside of your box, give it some personality with other items. I filled mine with rocks and shells I've collected from all over the world.
Enjoy! This box is a great way to reuse while bringing an efficient light source into a room of your home.
