If you've ever gotten stuck having to buy a new bottle of ground cinnamon because there isn't a bulk package in sight, then you probably have an extra spice bottle (or five) lying around. Recycling is always an option, but small glass bottles can be hard to come by, so why not make good use of them?
- All that Glitters
Sometimes glitter comes in pots, which can make craft time a little messy. If you store glitter in spice bottles, it'll be easy to sprinkle and you'll probably use less glitter too. - Sea Salt
If you've discovered the wonder that is sea salt, you've probably also realized the average saltshaker isn't designed for coarse grains of salt. For home, we'd just break down and get something new, but when you're at the cottage or camping, spice bottles made for crushed chili or coarsely ground spices are the perfect solution. - Salad Dressing
We're big fans of delicious mixed greens salads drizzled with balsamic vinegar and extra virgin olive oil. For the perfect dressing, pour equal parts olive oil and balsamic vinegar in a spice jar, season with salt and pepper, cap and shake vigorously—you'll get a perfectly blended dressing that is tasty and healthy. - Mini Jam Jars
If you make your own organic jam or jelly, spice bottles are just the size for small surprises for friends or a nice compliment to a culinary-themed gift. The bottles will also hold the perfect amount for a romantic picnic for two. - Sow Your Seeds
If you grow flowers, fruits or veggies from seeds, pour small seeds into a spice jar for easy and even sprinkling. You won't have to paw around trying to spread out clumps of seeds you accidentally poured.
