Are you tired of winter yet? The constant blustering snow, the teeth-chattering cold that crawls inside you and never lets go, those short, dim days, your walk always covered in thick layers of ice, tired of that yet? There is a new invention on the market that can ease your winter chores and ease the burden on the planet. That invention is the Sno Wovel.

The Sno Wovel is basically a wheeled snow shovel, and it is vastly superior to the snow blower. Take a look at the advantages of the snow blower. The operator of the snow blower can push the machine across their walk and remove the snow from it without the operator having to exert much of their own energy. Snow blowers may be the only way elderly people or people with physical limitations can remove the snow from their walks without having to outsource the work. The Sno Wovel provides the advantages of the snow blower without the ecological drawbacks of burning gasoline, using electricity or being powered by a chemically laden battery.

The Sno Wovel won Time magazine's best invention of 2006. Co-op America and National Green Pages have praised this invention for its eco-friendliness and studies at the University of Massachusetts have shown that pushing a Sno Wovel takes only a fraction of the energy that pushing a regular shovel takes.

The Wovel isn't a perfect machine. I found a product review that revealed some of the Wovel's downfalls. Here is a summary:

  1. The plastic isn't very sturdy. Make sure to order the steel reinforcement bar.
  2. The wheel often falls off.
  3. The Wovel's extras are overpriced.

Overall, the Wovel received an A- from the reviewer.

Anyone have any experiences good or bad with the Wovel? Leave 'em in the comments.
