While we're sure you'll be following suggestions on alternative wrapping, it's likely you'll still have quite a bit of used wrapping paper around you after the holidays. Here's a great way to put it all to use, as well as any brightly colored paper you come across during the year! Turn it into beautiful flower bouquets!

Using the many free origami instructions found online, you can turn scrap paper into roses, tulips, lilies, and many more types of flowers, leaves and greenery.

These origami flowers don't require water or any other resources to grow, and they'll last a lot longer than hothouse flowers. Plus they make a great family project and a more entertaining way of dealing with paper scraps.
