Blogger and crafter Still Dottie came up with a couple of new approaches to reusing leftover wine corks, once all the vino has been drained: A hexagonal trivet and a refrigerator message board.

The key to her projects is slicing the corks with a sharp knife into 1/4-inch discs, and then threading them together into the shape of your choice. Tip: A dab or two of adhesive, such as Mod Podge, on the bottom of each disc helps create a more stable base. ::Still Dottie
