Learn to make gorgeous papier-mâché beads out of old newspaper at A Storybook Life.
First, gather a pile of newspapers from your recycling bin, then rip the paper up into smaller pieces. You put the scraps into a large stock pot, pour enough boiling water over the paper to cover it, and then allow the whole setup to sit for an hour or so. Some glue helps mold the paper into tiny balls, which you can then paint, varnish, and string up to create necklaces, bracelets, and other schmancy accessories. ::A Storybook Life
