Make A Halloween Cobweb With Cotton Balls

Is it just me or are cotton balls a really peculiar invention? Sure, they're great for cleaning wounds and removing makeup, but more or less, it seems to me as though we could just be using regular washable towels for these purposes. Wouldn't it be better for our environment to not buy cotton balls? Unless you've got some super secret great use for cotton balls that I don't know about, I'd wager a bet that it'd be better if we all just replaced our cotton balls with reusable towels. BUT...I know that isn't going to be convincing enough for many of you. I know that a lot of you are going to keep on keeping cotton balls around the house and really, I won't waste my time trying to present any other arguments on the subject to you. What I will do, however, is tell you about something cool you can make from your cotton balls if you find you're not using them as much as you'd hoped you would.

You know that holiday coming up? Halloween? Yeah. One of the fun parts of Halloween is Halloween decorating. From jack-o-lanterns to creepy crawling spider toys, it's fun to decorate for Halloween. So why not make a cobweb out of your cotton balls? It blows my mind that some people actually go out and buy these pre-produced Halloween cobwebs when they could just be making them from cotton balls that are lying around the house.

Here's what you do:

1. Collect the extra cotton balls you've got around the house.


2. Stretch them out.


3. Use something sticky like hairspray or oil to keep the balls clumped together.


4. Mix in red dye or beet juice for a bloody effect.


5. Add in a toy spider.

You're set!
